It all fit!!

My day today started with one BIG question: will everything fit in the suitcases? We had wash to do before we could finish the packing. As each suitcase was closed I really began to worry. Especially when the scale kept weighing the suitcases a different weight. We really needed to stay under the 50 pound mark so that we didn't have to pay any more. Well, in the end, IT ALL FIT!! Now all we have to do is get the suitcases weighed at the airport and we are on our way.

More goodbyes!!

Goodbyes are always hard. We already said good bye to Esther, Marc, and the kids last week. Then I said good bye to my brothers and sisters. And then to the church family here in Greenville, MI Then, yesterday I spent some time with my older brother, Dan. He hasn't been well, so I haven't seen him much. I was able to say goodbye to him.
Dan and me

Then this morning Dad called to ask me to have breakfast with him. Can you guess by the picture where we went? We had a good time, just the two of us. We are staying at his house tonight and he is taking us to the airport tomorrow, so that wasn't our final good bye.
This afternoon, Elizabeth and Dan and the family arrived. We were able to have lunch together and then each family finished up some last minute business. We then went out to my niece, Joy's, house to spend some time with her family. All of her siblings were there as well as their parents, my brother, Dan and his wife Kathy.
We had a great time. We were able to get some pictures and then the final good byes came. Why do good byes have to be so hard.

They all helped us celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary!!

Elizabeth, Dan and the kids came back with us to Dad's house. We talked and had a good time. Then it was time to say good bye to them.
We said good bye to our "home away from home". Our very comfortable , little house on Montcalm St.
Tomorrow will be the good bye to dad and to the USA.

It has been a wonderful year of furlough. But now we are anxious to get back to France.

Have a great evening!
