So, how was your Christmas?
We started out Christmas with the visit of "Père Noël" (Santa Claus) yesterday. Our mail lady had told us last week that on the 24th she was going to do her route dressed as Santa Claus. We just didn't realize how she would do it. As she came into the neighborhood she would honk the horn on her little motor scooter. She even had her scooter decked out as a reindeer. As she gave the mail to those who came out she gave out a chocolate. I guess that's part of living in a small village.

This morning we got up around our normal time. I made a fire in the fireplace and lit the candles in the village houses. It was nice and cozy. After gettting family pictures we opened our presents. We didn't really get a lot for each other this year since we have had so many extra expenses because of the move. Emily's "big" gift was a cd player which also has a microphone with it. Now she can sing with her music. She really didn't ask for it. We just thought she'd like it. And I guess we were right. She has been using it all afternoon!!!

We bought the film Cars 2 for us. Then watched it this afternoon. It is cute. We enjoyed it. Elizabeth and Esther and families made up a picture album from our reunion in May. It is so nice. We all love it. Emily even quit opening her presents to look at it.

We had raclette for lunch. It is becoming a Christmas tradition for us. It is so easy and on top of it--soooooo good.
Emily enjoyed talking to Grandpa this afternoon. She got her Christmas hug from him. Then she went back into her room to sing somemore.

Your house looks wonderful, Elva. All your hard work paid off. Has Emily adjusted now? Is it home to her?
Thanks for posting with pictures. Emily's room looks like a very happy place.
Sorry Skype didn't work very well. I think it must be my computer. We will try again later after I figure it out.
