Mamie's Adventures

Two rooms down and another almost  done.  We finished up Emily’s room on Saturday and she slept  in there that night.  It is so nice to see the progress that we are making.  Our aching bones tell us that we have been working hard but to see the finished project is soooo nice.

Yesterday we finished  painting  the ceiling in the bathrooms and also did the wallpaper in our bedroom.  We still need to do the trim in there.  We should be able to finish that this afternoon.   We’d also like to finish the wallpaper in the other bathroom.  Sometimes small spaces are harder to do than big rooms.

We are still so glad that we decided to try and get everything done before the move.  It would have been a lot harder to work around the furniture to do the paper and paint.  We still have to get a plumber in to take care of some things in the house. 

Our internet is finally getting done.  We are now in the 10 day waiting period.  They say that in less than 10 days we should be connected.  We will then have telephone.  In the meantime, when we want  internet we take an afternoon off and go to McDonald’s.  We made the mistake of going on Saturday last week.  That isn’t a good idea.  There were way too many people and the noise was horrible.  I couldn’t even think is was so noisy.  It is already hard for me to think and then with the noise it was awful.  At least we can keep up a little bit with what is going on in the world.

Three weeks from today is our moving date.  Hopefully we’ll have everything done that we want to do.  Even though we have done a lot, we still have a lot more to do.

I didn't get this sent the day I wrote it.  Since writing we have received notification that our internet is ready to be connected BUT we aren't connected yet.  So frustrating.

All of the flooring is now finished!!! Yay!!  Those tools have been put away.  The painting is well on its way.  Tomorrow we'll start the paper in Mike's study and probably do some in my study too.  Today I bought the wallpaper for the living/dining room.  We feel like we are making good progress.
