"So. . . what do you do when you are in REIMS???"

Somebody, this week, asked us this question.  Since we've been back in France we have had more than enough to keep us busy.  In fact, some may think that when we are in Reims we are on vacation and when we are in Rouen we are working.  Actually we seem to be working more when we are in Reims.

This week we arrived back in Reims on Wednesday noon.  By two  o'clock we were at the Teachout's to say our goodbyes.  They leave this coming Tuesday for a little over six months of furlough.  We don't know if we will see them again before our family mission conference next April.  We are hoping to be in Rouen by Christmas and when they get back to Reims they will be moving to the Bordeaux area.  So after 3 or 4 years of working together our paths are going to part.

 We decided to plant some flowers out in front of our house.  At first we weren't going to do it since we aren't here much and there wouldn't be anyone to water them.  But knowing that we are putting the house up for sale and that people would be (positive attitude here) coming to visit it we thought it would look nicer if there were some flowers.  The tiles looked awful since they hadn't been power washed in over two years.  So before planting flowers I power washed the patio.  It looks so nice now with the tiles clean and the flowers planted.

The real estate agent came on Thursday to give us his estimation of the house.  And we signed on the dotted line with him for him to sell it.  In a week the pictures that he took of the house will be visible on internet.  He had explained to us last week that it would be best if we neutralised our house.  What did he mean by that?  well, taking down family pictures, removing knick knacks etc.  So, as we removed those things we started packing boxes.

 The garage has been a catch all for a while AND there is still a lot of stuff to go through.  But since we were packing boxes, we needed a place to store them.  Mike took apart two armoires (wardrobes) that were falling apart and we knew we weren't taking with us.  We took those to the dump along with some other things that have been sitting around to be taken.  So that freed up some space.  But there were still things in and on those armoires so we had to go through those things, throw away, pack or put in a pile to give away.  In all we packed 15 boxes.  9 of which were ones that we had just mailed back to France from the States (unpacked and then re-packed with other things).  By the way, Kathy, we could use about 15 more of those book boxes.  They are perfect!!!!

In between all of that, Mike had to get his message ready for Sunday and a Bible study for Tuesday worked up.  I had a dentist appointment and we still have the usual grocery shopping, house cleaning, cooking meals etc.

For those who are following my weight loss progress.  This week I reached the goal that I had set for myself to lose 40 pounds before my next surgery.  Praise the Lord!!  Keep praying.  I'm still wanting to lose more.  Mike and Emily are losing too and we are all feeling better and better.
