It is hard to believe that 35 years have gone by since we brought home a beautiful baby girl. She wasn't exactly what we had expected, but we knew, even then, that the Lord had given her to us.
And now she is 35!! Where have the years gone. We have learned a lot by having Emily and we thank the Lord for each step that we have passed with her.
Her special day started by going to Buffalo Grill for her birthday lunch. We all had a delicious meal. (I like birthdays!!)
| Barbecue ribs |
| Texas plate (bbq ribs, chicken wings, chili) |
| Steak |
Then we came home and she opened her presents. Whe had asked for a "costume". What she really wanted was a fancy "dress-up" dress. We went a couple of weeks ago and picked out a pattern and the material. Last week I sewed it up.
| The shawl |
| The "veil" |
Then we had birthday strawberry cheesecake
After we finished our dessert she tried on her dress. She really liked it!!
| "dancing" with maman |
| a "date" with papa |
She told us that she had a good birthday. Now she'll start working on her Christmas list . . . :)
