"Des souvenirs de Reims en visite" (Visiting memories from Reims)

We have been blessed recently by the visit of several people from Reims.  In May, on our anniversary, a family stopped by on their way home from a day of vacation.  This family had moved away from Reims before we did.   We have kept contact with them through Skype and facebook.  It was so much fun to see them again.

At the end of May Mike was asked to preach in a church in the Paris area.  One of our former students from Reims is now a member of that church.  We were so glad to see Jessy and spend time with him on that Sunday.

Then, just last week, a group of four from the church in Reims drove the four hours to Grand Couronne just to see us.  We had such a good time eating a goûter around the table.  Then talking, laughing and finally singing choruses with the piano and guitar.  Lots of good memories.

Fun singing around the piano  (which is on the left out of the picture).
We so thankful for the years that we had in Reims and for how the Lord is continuing His work there.  It was good to catch up on news of what is going on in the church there.

Your investment is the lives of others is still reaping fruit. :) Besides, you guys are just fun to spend time with! (Is "you guys" a Michiganism?)

You write such an interesting blog, Elva. I showed some of your photos to Paul, and we both enjoyed seeing your Reims church members who came to visit you (some of whom were at the Winter Bible Camp in February!) Praying that your recovery from the hip surgery is continuing to be a good one!
Love,
Glenda
