We had planned our family reunion while we were in France. We found a "cabin" , on line, in the Smoky Mountains near Gaitlinburg TN and reserved it knowing that Dan and Elizabeth and family could be in Tennessee that week. We reserved it for May 16-23, 2015.

The cabin is about 2 1/2 hours from Esther and Marc's house in Hixson. Even though we all left at different times we arrived within 15-20 minutes of each other. Since there was a floor plan of the cabin online, we figured out ahead of time who would be where. It made unloading and getting settled in a lot easier. We got there just in time for supper.
The cabin is built into the mountainside. The front door leads into the kitchen. There are four levels in all. On the main level is the kitchen, dining room, our bedroom a living room and a bathroom.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms (each bedroom has its own bathroom and jacuzzi tub), a living area and an area with a fireplace and pool table. Elizabeth and Dan and Esther, Marc and three of their kids were in these rooms

Up from there is the loft where the boys slept.

Downstairs from the main floor are two more bedrooms. Emily had one and the girls had the other. There was also a laundry room and another living area with an air hockey and babyfoot.

There is a deck on each level, except the loft, with table, chairs and a hot tub on the main level.

It was perfect for the 17 of us.
The first night was spent getting settled in, trying everything out and decorating an anniversary cake.
The View
It was incredible!! I enjoyed watching it change over the days with the clouds, fog and sunshine.

Aww Memories!!!! That cabin was perfect for all of us. Love the pictures of the view as well...so smart of you to take a picture every morning!
