NUTS!!

ACORNS really!  But I liked that title better!

When we were with the Baughman's in Laon before they left for the States, they mentioned that there may be a few leaves that would have to be raked.  It has been so long since we had to rake leaves that we didn't think much about it.   Until. . . two weeks ago.

We arrived in Laon like usual on Saturday afternoon.  The back lawn was covered in leaves and acorns.  We couldn't even walk on the back patio there were so many acorns.  I swept some of them off until one fell from the tree and hit me in the temple.  Boy did that ever hurt!
Back patio

We had a big wind storm this past week so when we got there this week there were even more leaves and acorns.  Mike and I started right in raking and sweeping.  We got half of the back lawn done.  That's seven wheelbarrow loads of leaves and acorns.
Half way done.

Clean sidewalk  (sorry it's dark)

Piles of leaves

Guess we know what we'll be doing next weekend too.

On our way to Laon this past week the odometer on the car turned to 10,000 km.   Kind of fun to see it.
Watch, watch, watch. . .

and there it is!!

Only you would get an awesome picture out of leaves and acorns! I love that very first picture you posted. Raking leaves is a lot of work, you have your job cut out for you...make sure to wear your hard hat next time!
