On the road!

Just a quick blog to update you all on life in the Farrell household.  This past week we had the visit of former BMM missionaries to France, Charles and Babs Anderson.  They worked in Bordeaux for about 30 years. They went to the States in 1996 but  have come back to France from time to time to fill in for furloughing missionaries.  They filled in for us in Reims in 2001 when we took our furlough.  They were only with us for overnight but it was good to get caught up with what is going on in their lives.

We are right at this moment somewhere between home and Bordeaux.  Our annual field conference is in Bordeaux this year.  We could have made the trip in one day, I'm sure.  But we decided to make it easy on ourselves and stay about halfway.

Mike got the car packed in the morning.  We ate lunch and then were on our way.  We took the autoroute (turnpike) the whole way but saw some beautiful scenery.  We are in the city of Châtellerault which is just past Tours which sits on the Loire river.  It is a beautiful area.

This morning it is overcast and it has rained.  But according to the weather report it should clear up by afternoon.  Conference starts this afternoon around 4:30.  Since we don't have very far to go, we're just taking our time this morning.

Time to go!
