This and that

This month is half over and I'm just writing a second blog.  Maybe it's because nothing is going on.  Well the beginning of the month was Toussaint (All Saints Day).  Here in France it is kind of like Memorial Day.    Toussaint is November 1.  But the day of the dead is actually the 2nd.  Since Toussaint is a paid holiday people take advantage of the day and go and put flowers on the graves.  Last week I went for a walk in our little part of the city and went to our cemetery.  The flowers were still very pretty.

We had a problem with our car last week.  I had been to the grocery store in the morning and noticed that the car started rather sluggish.  When I went to go out in the afternoon it wouldn't start at all.  We called our insurance and they sent someone out.  He got the car started but then ended up taking to a garage.  It was the alternator system.  OUCH!!  They had the car in the garage all week.  They had to order the part.  We got the car back on Saturday.  Ouf!!  Just in time for church.

"It's Elizabeth's birthday".  That's the first thing Emily said to me this morning.  She made me blow up a balloon and put it on a chair.  We picked green!!  We hope you had a great birthday, Elizabeth.

We have a final signing date.  We will sign off the house in Reims on November 27 at 5:00 pm.  We'll be going to Reims on Monday because we have some things that we need to take care of there.  Since the signing is so late in the afternoon we'll stay overnight Tuesday night too.  Thank you for your praying that the house would sell.
