Plumbing!!

The title says it all.  This past week we have had the visit of a couple of plumbers.  One came but his prices were too high, after he gave us the estimate.  So we called the one that we had contacted back in November.  Why did we have to call a plumber?  The main reason was because one of our toilets started leaking.  Both plumbers were agreed that it had to be changed!

He changed the toilet in the big bathroom  (where the shower is).  No more leaks.  Why did we have to change it when we have another one?  There is no cut off of the water to that toilet.  We didn't want a flood.
Since we had to pay to have the toilet changed anyway, we decided to go ahead and have the other work done in the house that we needed done.  A week ago the plumber came and spent the day putting in the sink in the little bathroom ( WC=room with just a toilet in it).  He had to put in all of the plumbing for it.  He also changed the insides of the toilet in the wc and put a new valve on that one.
Mike put up the mirror and the shelf.
We had him put thermostats on all of the radiators.  Now we can adjust the temperature in each of the rooms.  Emily's room was always too hot while the living and dining rooms were cold.  He had a problem with three of the radiators because they hadn't been installed right.  After he left on Friday we noticed that two of the radiators were leaking.  We called him and he came back today.  The one had a defective thermostat which needed to be changed and the other one he ended up having to weld.
In the meantime, between Friday afternoon and today our kitchen faucet starting leaking.  So we added that to our list of things for him.  He changed that today.
One more thing for him to do and we think we are done with the plumber.  The only water cut off for the house is out in the ground in front of the house.  To turn it off you have to lie flat on your stomach and stick half of your body down in the hole to reach it.  We're going to have him install one IN the house.  That will have to wait until after we clean out the garage a little bit more.
Getting Spring fever!!

So glad you were able to get all that work done. It makes so much sense to have a sink in a bathroom...why can't French people understand that?!?!?! The tulips are beautiful!
