What do these pictures remind you of? Fall, right? No more like summer!!!
The calendar says "first day of fall"! But here, where we are, it is more like summer. And no, I don't mean "Indian summer", even though that is what they call it here. Since the middle of last week, we have had absolutely gorgeous weather and it is supposed to last through the end of this week.
So what do we do when "summer" finally comes?
Friday I went to visit a missionary collegue and friend of mine. Margaret and I had a good time together. We went to the market and then out to lunch. What did we do? Talk and talk and talk and talk!! That's what's nice about friends. They listen to you when you talk!! Can you tell who did most of the talking? Then we went back to her house sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We looked at her flowers, and then picked some delicious raspberries. The apple blossoms in the above picture were on a tree in her yard. It has been so cold this summer that the tree must have thought that winter had comme and gone and now it was time to bloom. It was so good seeing Margaret again.

Since the good weather has continued we drove to a nearby lake yesterday afternoon and took our lunch with us. We were right on the beach AND there were people swimming there. We didn't go into the water, although Emily did get her feet wet.
We enjoyed the beautiful sunshine, warm, 28°c weather by taking naps, coloring, eating some goodies, taking a walk and just enjoying the God's creation. I'll let you guess, who did what!!
Today we took advantage of another beautiful day to wash our bedspread and hang it out to dry. Now it is cleaned, dried and back on the bed. All in the same day. AMAZING!!
Hope your week is going well.

Lovely post. How did I miss it before? Sounds like you really appreciated those surprise summer days. You made good use of them. God is good. By the way, you look fantastic, Elva.
