We had a quiet New Year's Eve. We didn't even stay up until midnight and didn't hear any noise outside at midnight.
New Year's Day was a normal new year for us. We took down the Christmas tree and decorations, got everything dusted and vacuumed and back to normal. While working we listened/watched the Vienna Orchestra New Year's concert. It starts at 11:15am. At noon, they take a 15 minute break and then finish the concert after the news. It is always so good. They always end with the Beau Danube Bleu and La March de Radetsky. So good.
We had our fancy lunch and then just enjoyed the rest of the afternoon.
Christmas tablecloth and plates were the last things to be put away. We are back to normal again.

Happy New Year...a little late, but considering all the construction done on our house, I feel thankful I can even get on line.
