We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas season. We did. We were able to go to two Christmas programs in two different churches. That is one nice thing about not having our own church. We can see what other churches do.
On December 14, we went to the program at Paris-Centre. It was good. The kids, teens, young adults and adults were all involved at different times. They did a good job.

Last Sunday we went to the church in Vernon. This is the closest church to us (about 35 minutes away) that we go to when we aren't busy elsewhere. We were there in the morning service. Their regular piano player was away so I played the piano in church. Since we went back in the afternoon for the program I also ended up playing for that too. It was nice. The program seemed to kind of thrown together. No real theme, other than Christmas. But there was a nice variety. The kids sang a couple of songs. There were three other special songs and three poems that were read. We stayed around afterward for the goûter time.
Christmas happened, like usual, for us. Emily got up later than usual but since we didn't have a lot of gifts to open we were still done by lunch time. Mike read the Christmas story and then we took turns opening our gifts. Then we had lunch and relaxed the rest of the day.

We talked to dad on the telephone and then skyped with Esther's family. Still waiting to have our Christmas talk with Elizabeth's family. They had LOTS of company at Christmas on camp so were very busy. Looking forward to being able to skype soon.
Emily has been using her other Christmas presents (her homework, as she calls it) in her room. But yesterday she decided that she wanted to start some of her Chemistry experiments.
