Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Ok!  Ok!! OK!!! It has been a loooong time since I have written a blog.  I think I got discouraged knowing that I couldn't put any pictures on it.  So at least let me tell you all Happy New Year!!  Here in France we have all month to send out new year's greetings so I'm just going along with French customs. :)

We did have a good Christmas.  It was a quiet day.  Emily slept in so we finally opened our gifts around 10:30.  We had a delicious meal, decided by Emily.  She has some very interesting ideas of what is expected for a holiday meal.

The day after Christmas our good friends and fellow missionaries Clare and Linda Baughman came and spent a couple of days with us.  We enjoyed their company.

 That same day our new front door was installed.  Since the beginning of September we have been having trouble locking the door.  Fortunately there was a shutter on the front door that we could close and lock.  We now have a beautiful door which lets in much more light.

Probably the biggest news that we have is that our 9th grandchild arrived 9 days early.  Cameron Matthew Zimmerman was born Sunday morning at 3:17 am.  He was 7 lbs 14 oz and 22 inches long.  Esther had a good stay at the hospital.  But is very glad to be home.
